Certified Meat Products in Fresno, CA is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems in a refrigerated environment. This role emphasizes preventive and predictive maintenance, regulatory compliance, and accurate documentation to minimize downtime.

You will read schematics, work with cross-functional teams, and train operators while adhering to LOTO, OSHA, and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-system issues.
• Repair, replace, and install motors, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, sensors, valves, and wiring.
• Inspect refrigeration systems, temperature controls, and associated components (EPA-compliant).
• Calibrate instrumentation, sensors, and control devices to maintain operational accuracy.
• Read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings; interpret equipment manuals.
• Safely perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and enforce OSHA regulations.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS and maintain spare-parts inventory.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and support continuous improvement.
• Train operators and junior maintenance staff.

Description of Work Place

Work is performed in a refrigerated food-production and warehouse environment (approximately 35°F-45°F) containing conveyors, grinders, slicers, pallet-handling systems, and other industrial equipment. The environment may involve wet floors, elevated noise levels, tight spaces, and frequent interaction with production personnel.

Description of Job tasks
