Job summary

Gusmer Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Fresno, CA to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant equipment and facilities, delivering hands-on impact to production.

You will work with production teams, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, follow 5S and OSHA safety standards, and document work in CMMS. Grave shift 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., on-call, overtime incl.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, or automation in industrial manufacturing.
• Experience using a CMMS system is required.
• Food and drug safety standards experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems to minimize downtime.
• Maintain building systems including 480V 3-phase electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and facility infrastructure.
• Document all maintenance activities in CMMS.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Onsite, Fresno CA

Reports To: Engineering Manager

Employment Status: Full Time

Travel: None

Work Schedule: Grave shift 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays and available to work on-call.

Pay: $32.00 to $35.00/hour

Position Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic demonstrates Service with Knowledge® by ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities. This position offers the opportunity to make a daily, hands‑on impact by maintaining critical manufacturing equipment and facility systems that support high‑quality production. Working closely with production teams and fellow technicians, this role values clear communication, strong collaboration, and shared accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on production machinery, mechanical systems, and facility equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems to minimize production downtime.
• Maintains and services building systems including electrical (480V 3‑phase), HVAC, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure.
• Completes scheduled preventive maintenance activities and accurately documents work performed in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Collaborates with production and maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues and support efficient shift handoffs.
• Identifies causes of downtime and recommends repairs or process improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Follows OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety standards; maintains clean and organized work areas using 5S principles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience or equivalent education in mechanical, electrical, or automation in an industrial manufacturing setting required.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) required.
• Experience in food and drug safety standards preferred.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, varying temperatures, and industrial systems. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting required. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
