Industrial Maintenance Mechanic performs repairs on equipment and systems related to the operation. Implements, oversees, and keeps records for the Preventive Maintenance Program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

1. Aids in the operation of the Company’s Preventive Maintenance Program.
2. Troubleshoots and repairs equipment necessary for the operation.
3. Maintains an orderly and complete inventory of repair parts and supplies essential to plant operations.
4. Identifies and reports repairs needed on off-production shifts.
5. Evaluates projects and determines supplies required to complete the job.
6. Adheres to all Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
7. Performs additional duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor or management.
8. Performs electrical repairs and maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of safe operation of hand tools and test equipment; at least one year experience in production and facility maintenance; experience with pneumatic systems, motor controls, relays, and electrical troubleshooting. PLC certification and programming skills are preferred. Must possess basic mechanical and electrical tools.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. Formal mechanical and electrical training is a plus.

SKILLS

Excellent communication skills, basic math skills, ability to prioritize, and effective reasoning abilities. Recent mechanical training for production equipment is desirable.

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Fast-paced environment with extended hours. Team support is emphasized.
