The Maintenance Technician is responsible for addressing various challenges, performing maintenance and repairs on equipment within an industrial food manufacturing facility. The role involves self-performing or assisting other technicians with advanced repairs across the campus. The position works under minimal supervision and involves some contact with external suppliers and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Intermediate understanding of PLCs, ability to access programs for troubleshooting (programming not expected)
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic issues
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical pumps, motors, heaters, piping, water, and steam systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment such as starters, motors (up to 480V), and start/stop stations
• Experience with programmable firmware, AC/DC electrical systems, analog and digital display units
• Test robotic assemblies and evaluate their performance
• Reprogram and calibrate industrial robotic systems to optimize output
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical problems using blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Must be 21 years or older
• Applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver's license required
• Flexibility in duties and schedule
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work at heights with fall protection gear
• Ability to manipulate tools in small spaces
• Ability to lift objects up to 75 pounds frequently
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents; basic report writing skills
