Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong background in industrial maintenance, industrial electrical troubleshooting and repair, or both. The ideal candidate may come from an industrial maintenance, industrial electrician, or multi-craft maintenance background and should have hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment and electrical/mechanical systems in an industrial environment.This position is responsible for troubleshooting production equipment, performing preventive maintenance, repairing electrical and mechanical systems, fabricating or modifying components as needed, and minimizing equipment downtime.Essential Job FunctionsDiagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.Troubleshoot electrical systems and controls using schematics, meters, and other diagnostic tools.Troubleshoot motors, electrical components, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.Fabricate, weld, modify, repair, and install machine components and equipment.Use machine shop equipment and hand tools to fabricate or modify replacement parts.Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.Perform root-cause troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.Install, align, relocate, and modify production equipment.Assist with emergency equipment repairs during productionRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 3 years of industrial maintenance, industrial electrical, or related manufacturing maintenance experience.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in an industrial environment.Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Ability to independently diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs.Hands-on experience with industrial machinery, motors, controls, and related production equipmentTechnical SkillsRead equipment manuals, electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawingsKnowledge of compressed air, vacuum, hydraulics, electronic controls, and their systemsExperience using machine shop equipment and precision measuring toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience maintaining industrial machinery, pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and other manufacturing equipment preferredWelding and fabrication experience.Experience fabricating or modifying machine components and replacement parts.Knowledge of facility systems and machine buildingAbility to communicate effectively with supervisors and production personnelBasic computer skillsPhysical Requirements:Must regularly lift equipment, motors, parts, and materials weighing up to 50 poundsMust be available to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts when production requiresMust safely work from ladders, scissor lifts, and elevated work platformsNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
