Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in industrial maintenance or related field.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing equipment.
• Willingness to learn and work safely under supervision.
• Effective communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Previous hands-on shop experience or exposure to welding is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance team with preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of manufacturing equipment.
• Learn basic operation and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Identify equipment issues and communicate observations to qualified maintenance personnel.
• Support planned maintenance activities and equipment improvement projects under supervision.
• Assist with basic fabrication, welding, equipment installation, and component replacement when trained, authorized, and supervised.
• Learn to read and interpret work orders, technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Use approved hand tools, power tools, meters, and material-handling equipment safely and as directed.
• Document completed work, inspection findings, parts used, and follow-up needs assigned.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company procedures and applicable safety requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and other learning opportunities related to plant maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
