Job summary

County Materials is seeking an Industrial/Plant Maintenance Technician in Janesville, WI to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure maximum uptime and optimal equipment performance.

You will work with hydraulic/mechanical systems, welding, and electrical components, reading blueprints and coordinating with vendors for installation projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in plant or industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, mechanical repair, welding, electric motors, conveyors, steel fabrication, and overhead cranes.
• Electrical license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing equipment during active operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and external contractors for maintenance and installation projects.
• Maintain safe and organized work areas in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals and work orders.
