Job summary

County Materials Family of Companies in Janesville, WI, is seeking an Industrial/Plant Maintenance Technician to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment to maximize uptime in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include PMs and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, welding and fabrication, reading blueprints, and coordinating with vendors for parts and projects. OSHA safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in plant or industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, mechanical repair, welding, electric motors, conveyors, steel fabrication, and overhead cranes.
• Self-motivated, proactive, multitasking team player.
• Solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices and production equipment operations.
• Electrical license preferred, but not required.

• Source parts and supplies and obtain vendor quotes.

Industrial/Plant Maintenance Technician – Janesville, WI

Job Summary

The Plant Maintenance Technician supports safe, efficient, and continuous manufacturing operations in a fastpaced production environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure maximum uptime, minimal downtime, and optimal equipment performance.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing and production equipment during active operations
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Respond quickly to emergency and unplanned equipment failures to reduce production downtime
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, policies, procedures, and documentation requirements
• Perform steel fabrication and welding for equipment repair, modification, and installation
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and work orders
• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, welders, torches, and material-handling equipment safely and effectively
• Weld, fabricate, and install machine components as needed
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with OSHA and company standards
• Source parts and supplies, obtain vendor quotes, and install replacement components
• Coordinate and communicate with vendors and external contractors for equipment maintenance and installation projects

Experience & Qualifications
