Job summary

Tyson Foods in Missouri is seeking an industrial maintenance mechanic to keep production lines running smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, and support operators during changeovers to minimize downtime.

The role is on-site with all shifts, requires at least 6 months of maintenance experience or a maintenance education, and includes a retention bonus program up to $5,000 ($2,500 at 90 days and $2,500 at one year).

Qualifications

• 6 months of maintenance experience in any field or 3 months with a maintenance education.
• Candidates previously employed by Tyson have a 180 day rehire waiting period.
• Willingness to work all shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and service on machinery and equipment.
• Ensure work area and equipment remain clean and orderly.
• Inspect equipment daily and repair as needed to maintain operation.
• Record maintenance, track parts used, and follow GMP and safety rules.
• Study manuals/blueprints and follow directions for setup and repairs.
• Attend on-site and off-site training as required.
• Notify leadership when inventory is low and arrange needed parts.
