Job summary

VT Industries in Bryan, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair production equipment. Responsibilities include electrical, PLC/Control System, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing work.

You will perform daily inspections, write work orders, and order parts while coordinating with operators and supervisors to address issues. You must have strong electrical and mechanical skills, familiarity with PLCs and VFDs, and be able to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing environment or similar position.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on mechanical and/or electrical equipment (installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting).
• Understanding of electrical circuits and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Will need to be able to work over-time as required.

Responsibilities

• Trouble-shoot problems / breakdowns on production equipment making proper repairs as necessary.
• Complete daily inspections on equipment in area, write work orders and locate parts.
• Communicate with production operators and supervisors about machine problems and actions.
• Work on assigned work orders, prep work, locate and order parts.
