Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Maintenance Electrician / Controls Technician to operate plant machinery, perform routine maintenance, and ensure quality in a fast-paced production environment. The role requires reading specifications, adjusting setups, and supporting team members to meet deadlines.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with Besser V-3 or Columbia Block Machine models, and the ability to read safety rules and manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent or related experience
• Experience operating Besser V-3 or Columbia Block Machine Model 1600/16
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• Ability to perform basic math and measurements
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale or templates
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance to ensure quality
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Assist other operators to set up machines and complete tasks to meet deadlines
• Maintain clean and orderly work area
• Other duties as needed
