Job summary

Aegis Manufacturing & Engineering in Indiana seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep a high-volume plant running by blending mechanical upkeep with electrical and automation skills. You’ll perform PMs, diagnose PLCs, and install/align components, while applying safety practices and supporting new equipment installations.

Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs and knowledge of Keyence Vision Systems are highly valued, with a path to advancing reliability across mechanical and electrical domains.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade certification preferred.
• 2+ years manufacturing maintenance experience; entry level possible at lower pay.
• 3–5 years electrical experience as an industrial electrician preferred.
• Mitsubishi PLC troubleshooting is required; Keyence vision systems (preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Commitment to safety, LOTO, and machine guarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance on critical assets to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and piping systems.
• Install, balance, and align bearings, shafts, and couplers; service gearboxes.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and control circuits.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams for work.
• Follow safety procedures with LOTO and machine guarding best practices.
• Assist in installing new machinery and production lines.
