Job summary

Aegis Manufacturing & Engineering is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support daily manufacturing operations by performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. This role requires troubleshooting, repair, and adherence to safety practices in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read technical drawings and schematics,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–5 years of relevant maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and update technical prints and drawings.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, equipment manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Document maintenance activities, work orders, and parts usage in a CMMS.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and startup activities.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and contribute to reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper PPE requirements.
• Work closely with production and other maintenance team members to coordinate repairs.
• Maintain an organized work area and follow housekeeping standards.
• Participate in safety meetings, technical training, and cross-training opportunities.
