Job summary

Modern Industries, located in Erie, is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining machinery as assigned by the supervisor. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with formal technical training in electricity, electronics, hydraulics, and PLCs.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, assist with installations and repairs, and operate material handling equipment while complying with all safety requirements. The position is hourly and on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with formal technical training in electricity, electronics, hydraulics, and PLCs.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Willingness to perform preventative/predictive maintenance on machinery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain machinery and tools to keep equipment in good operating condition under supervision.
• Assist with mechanical and electrical installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot common mechanical and electrical problems and complete repairs promptly.
• Operate material handling equipment in compliance with safety requirements.
• Wear PPE and follow safety instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
