Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a skilled technician to install machinery and equipment per layout plans and drawings in industrial settings. You will read blueprints, dismantle and move machines, and assemble components using hand and power tools, ensuring precise foundations and alignment.

The role requires high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years related experience, with welding experience preferred. Expect travel to different sites and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One to three years related experience and/or training.
• Welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machines using hand tools.
• Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies and rollers.
• Assemble and install equipment such as conveyors and rails using hand and power tools.
• Construct foundations for machines using basic building materials.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists and measuring tools.
• Assemble and fasten machines to foundations or structures.
• Operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Select cables, ropes, and pulleys for load movement.
• Attach pulley blocks to overhead structures.
• Rig hoisting equipment for safe movement of machinery.
• Splice rope and wire cables for slings and tackle.
• May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery.
• May travel to different jobsites with short notice.
• Other duties as assigned by Foreman or Superintendent.
