Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a hands-on Machine Operator to support two shifts in an industrial manufacturing plant in North Carolina. You will learn and operate equipment, perform basic mechanical tasks, and ensure safety protocols and PPE guidelines are followed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and a willingness to learn. Forklift experience is preferred and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Forklift experience preferred; certification training provided.
• High School diploma or equivalent required or acceptable equivalent.
• Ability to complete simple forms and follow written instructions.
• Basic arithmetic and measurement skills (length, diameter, weights, counts).

Responsibilities

• Operate and learn multiple machines, identify basic mechanical issues.
• Work safely and as part of a team in a manufacturing setting.
• Maintain awareness of PPE and machine safety procedures.
• Document production information and perform basic data entry.
