Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a Machine Operator Support to join our manufacturing team, requiring strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude, safe work habits, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

You will inspect and assist in repairing machinery, document production data on tally sheets and computer systems, and follow PPE guidelines and safety procedures. A high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; ability to perform simple arithmetic and understand simple written instructions.
• An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to PPE guidelines and understands machine safety procedures.
• Knows basic mechanical processes and equipment function principles.
• Conducts equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrity.

• Documents production information on tally sheets and makes basic production entries into the computer.
• Understands basic mathematical principles and measurement processes (length, diameter, weights, counts).
• Assume duties of other operators as needed.
