Job summary

Insteel Industries, Inc is seeking a safety-minded machine operator for a two-shift industrial role. The position involves hands-on operation of machinery, basic mechanical troubleshooting, and strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols.

Training is provided for equipment operation and production processes. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic arithmetic skills, and the ability to read simple instructions.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic and read simple written instructions.
• An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operate various machines after training and learn related processes.
• Identify and repair simple mechanical problems like stalls or jams.
• Conduct equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrity.
• Document production information on tally sheets and enter data.
• Work safely and as part of a team, adhering to PPE guidelines.
• Support other operators and areas as needed including overtime shifts.
