Job summary

Biewer Sawmill in Newton, MS is seeking a full-time Industrial Maintenance Lubrication Technician to join our team. You will safely perform lubrication, contamination control and preventative maintenance on all lubricated mechanical systems in the facility.

Responsibilities include servicing sawmill equipment across the plant, reporting lubrication conditions, maintaining inventories, and following preventative maintenance schedules to maximize machine reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General knowledge and experience as a lube technician.
• Use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, impacts, etc.
• General lumber knowledge such as board sizing and quality terminology/requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate machines and equipment to ensure reliability.
• Service sawmill equipment with daily lubrication in the sawmill, planer and kilns.
• Inspect machines and report lubrication conditions.
• Read and follow equipment manuals and work orders.
