Job summary

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services seeks a Laundry Worker 2 at Yakima Valley School Residential Habilitation Center to join a dedicated team maintaining large industrial laundry operations. You will schedule, coordinate, and complete all laundry phases while following safety and pandemic guidelines.

On-site work at least three days a week may qualify for a 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience as Laundry Worker 1 or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Knowledge of commercial laundry equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process linen for the entire institution to the required standard.
• Operate large industrial washers and dryers.
• Prepare outgoing orders and change chemicals as needed.
• Maintain linen room and filing of daily orders.
• Follow pandemic guidelines and safety procedures.
• Assist coworkers and students with laundry tasks.
