Job summary

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork, with hands-on work across fabrication, installation, maintenance, and material handling on site. You will operate hand and power tools, read basic blueprints, and assist in scaffolding, concrete and epoxy work, and system assembly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in industrial or construction environment.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.
• Knowledge of basic industrial safety practices.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.
• Good physical endurance for manual labor tasks.
• Able to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work in varied environments and adapt.
• Ability to work extended hours as project schedules require.
• Preferred: experience in specialized crafts (refractory, fabrication, scaffolding).
• OSHA 10/OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Basic first aid or CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with specialized craft activities under guidance of skilled craftsmen.
• Transport and handle materials, tools, and equipment.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, or shaping as directed.
• Assist with installation and assembly of industrial systems or machinery.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and industrial machinery.
• Mix, pour, and apply concrete, mortar, or epoxy coatings.
• Assist in assembling/disassembling scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Ensure safety protocols and PPE usage; report hazards.
• Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with specs.
• Clean and maintain tools, machinery, and work areas.
• Support troubleshooting of minor issues with materials/equipment.
• Assist in training or mentoring Laborer I teammates.
• Help maintain project timelines and complete tasks on schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
