Job summary

Plant-IQ is seeking an IT/OT Control Engineer for our Buffalo, NY office. You will design, secure, and maintain networks and control systems for Water, Wastewater, and Utilities clients, collaborating with engineers to meet timelines and budgets.

You will assess existing infrastructure, architect secure IT/OT solutions, and integrate cybersecurity best practices into control-system design and implementation, staying current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years in IT/OT network engineering or controls engineering.
• Experience with ICS/SCADA networks in water, wastewater, or utilities preferred.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, CCNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design secure IT/OT network architectures for ICS/SCADA including segmentation and firewalls.
• Assess OT networks for cybersecurity risks and recommend remediation strategies.
• Support PLC/SCADA design and integration with project engineers.
• Develop network diagrams, risk assessments, and hardening guidelines.
• Visit customer sites for assessments and implementation guidance.
