Job summary

E Tech Group seeks an IT/OT Controls Engineer to lead UNS and IT/OT integration projects in a regulated, GMP-minded environment. You will design, model, and implement data flows from shop floor devices to MES and ERP, using MQTT, HiveMQ, and Ignition to connect PLCs, SCADA, and enterprise systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical leadership from concept through commissioning, maintain project documentation, and uphold ISA-95 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Unified Namespace concepts and MQTT/SparkplugB.
• Experience with HighByte Intelligence Hub or similar DataOps platforms.
• Experience with Ignition and OPC UA connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Unified Namespace (UNS) solutions using HiveMQ, HighByte, and Ignition.
• Model and contextualize plant-floor data for MES, historians, and business systems.
• Integrate shop floor equipment with MES/ERP using MQTT, OPC UA, REST APIs.
• Configure edge connectivity to PLCs/SCADA and manage data flow to UNS.
• Use Python for automation, data transformation, and integration tasks.
• Collaborate with IT/OT teams to ensure secure integration across networks.
• Provide technical leadership from concept through commissioning.
• Maintain project documentation in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Work in a team focused on customer service and continuous improvement.
