Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Insulator Metalman to apply, remove, and repair insulating material on surfaces such as air ducts, pipes, tanks, and boilers to help control noise and temperature.

Candidates should have at least 4 years of insulation experience, NCCER certification, TWIC card, and a valid driver's license. This on-site role requires good reading of blueprints and willingness to work at heights while maintaining safety.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and selects required insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive to insulation material.
• Determine the amounts and select required insulation material (in sheet, tubular, or roll form).
• Using tape measure or other measuring device, measure and cut insulation material to specified size and shape.
• Fit, wrap, or attach insulation material around the structure following blueprint specifications.
• Seal insulation with covers, tape, or sealant to secure insulation to the structure.
• Other duties as assigned.
