Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an experienced journeyman insulator to perform installation, removal, and repair of insulating material on a variety of industrial surfaces. This on-site role requires working from blueprints, cutting and fitting insulation, and securing it to complex equipment, pipes, and tanks to maintain temperature control and noise reduction.

The candidate should have 4+ years of scaffolding experience, NCCER-Ind Insul PV, TWIC, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of scaffolding experience preferred.
• Certification in NCCER-Ind Insul PV is required.
• Valid Driver’s License and TWIC card are required.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and selects required insulation material.
• Apply, remove, and repair insulating material to surfaces or structures to control temperature and noise.
• Work at heights and use tools to cut, fit, and secure insulation materials.
• Measure, cut, and fit insulation for flat or curved surfaces using manual tools.
• Secure insulation with tape, covers, or sealants according to type and surface.
