Job summary

Austin Industrial is hiring an Insulator for industrial insulation projects across various facilities in the U.S. You will read blueprints, select insulation materials, and apply insulation to equipment and structures, including high elevations.

Strong attention to safety and adherence to blueprints are essential. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States; NCCER, TWIC card, and a valid driver’s license are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirements.
• 4 years of experience in insulation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and selects required insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive application to insulation material.
• Determine the amounts and select required insulation material (in sheet, tubular, or roll form).
• Measure and cut insulation material to specified size and shape.
• Fit, wrap, or attach insulation material around or to the structure following blueprint specifications.
• Seal insulation with covers, tape, sealant, or caulking gun.
• Other duties as assigned.
