Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an on-site insulator/insulation helper to apply, remove, and repair insulating materials on surfaces such as ducts, pipes, tanks, and equipment. The role requires reading blueprints and selecting materials, working at heights, and following safety procedures.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, fitting, and sealing insulation while using common hand tools and adhesives.

Qualifications

• 4 years of scaffolding experience preferred.
• NCCER-Ind Insul PV certification preferred (not required).
• Valid Driver’s License and TWIC card required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and select insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Brush adhesives on or attach insulation material.
• Determine amounts and select insulation material (sheet, tubular, or roll).
• Measure and cut insulation material to size and shape.
• Fit, wrap, or attach insulation to structures per specifications.
• Cover or seal insulation with covers, tape, or sealant.
• Other duties as assigned.
