Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Insulation Technician to apply, remove, and repair insulating material on air ducts, hot or cold pipes, storage tanks, boilers and buildings to help control noise and maintain temperatures. You will read blueprints and select insulation types to fit surfaces as specified.

This role requires 4 years of insulation experience, NCCER-Ind Insul PV certification, a TWIC card, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 4 years of insulation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and selects insulation material.
• Works at heights with safety in mind.
• Applies adhesives and secures insulation material.
• Measures, cuts, and fits insulation to surfaces per specifications.
• Covers insulation and completes installation per blueprints.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
