Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an insulation worker to apply, remove, and repair insulating material on air ducts, hot and cold pipes, tanks and other structures at industrial sites across the United States. You will read blueprints and select the appropriate insulation.

Work at heights, measure, cut, fit and fasten insulation, cover surfaces, and follow safety procedures. NCCER-Ind Insul PV is preferred but not required; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 4 years of scaffolding experience preferred.
• NCCER insulation certification preferred (not required).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and selects required insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive application to insulation material.
• Determine the amounts and select required insulation material (in sheet, tubular, or roll form).
• Measure and cut insulation material to size for covering surfaces.
• Fit, wrap, or attach insulation around structures following blueprint specs.
• Seal insulation with covers, tape, or sealant.
• Other duties as assigned.
