Job summary

BrandSafway is seeking an Industrial Insulation Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for piping, equipment, and ductwork insulation projects across the Carolinas. You will review bid packages, ISOs, and plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop complete labor and material pricing for bids.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating industrial mechanical insulation, including both piping and ductwork insulation.
• Ability to independently read and quantify work from piping isometrics, plan drawings, sections, and details.
• Proficiency with FastWRAP and/or Bluebeam Revu for estimating or digital takeoffs.
• Working knowledge of common insulation systems (fiberglass, mineral wool, calcium silicate, cellular glass, elastomeric) with jacketing and vapor-retarder systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for industrial pipe insulation, equipment insulation, and ductwork insulation covering various project types.
• Read and interpret piping ISOs, mechanical plans, equipment details, insulation schedules, and bid documents.
• Perform takeoffs using FastWRAP and/or Bluebeam Revu for quantities and sizes.
• Develop labor estimates considering productivity, elevation, congestion, and site conditions.
• Coordinate with sales and operations to align bid strategy and project approach.
• Maintain organized estimating records and meet proposal deadlines.
