Job summary

Austin Industrial seeks an Instrumentation Technician to install, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair instrument devices to ensure the specified operating performance. You will read manuals and schematics and perform instrument and control system tasks in industrial environments.

Responsibilities include instrument installation, calibration, loop checks, and basic PLC-related activities while adhering to safety guidelines and quality standards at client sites across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Certification/License – NCCER, Valid Driver's License
• Physical, Mental & Environmental Requirements – pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.
• Safety and ability to work in industrial environments with PPE and site hazards.

Responsibilities

• Installation experience: build control panels from scratch and instrument mounting.
• Read P&IDs, loop diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Calibration of pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.
• Troubleshoot instrument and control systems; verify sensor outputs.
• Perform basic electrical tasks and motor controls in safety-focused settings.
