Job summary

Riviana Foods is seeking a Maintenance Regular Full-Time technician in Freeport, TX to maintain, troubleshoot, and program industrial instrumentation, PLCs, electrical control systems, and automation equipment to ensure reliable plant operations.

The role requires experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Studio 5000, HMI, SCADA, VFDs, and 4-20 mA signal handling, with the ability to read control diagrams and optimize control systems across shifts.

Qualifications

• Technical degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Industrial Automation.
• Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000.
• Knowledge of industrial instrumentation and 4-20 mA signal systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical control and power diagrams.
• Familiarity with VFDs, HMI, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
• Understanding of electrical systems, motors, and industrial installations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial instrumentation and control systems.
• Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs using Studio 5000.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HMI and SCADA systems.
• Diagnose issues with 4-20 mA instrumentation and control signals.
• Troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs), electric motors, and electrical systems.
• Interpret electrical control and power diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and optimize control logic and PID control systems.
• Perform electrical installations and support automation improvements.
• Identify and resolve complex equipment and system issues to minimize downtime.
