Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks an Instrumentation/Electrical Technician to perform routine maintenance, installation and integration of process control instrumentation at our Kentucky site, including transmitters, controllers and analytical equipment.

Duties include field fault analysis, calibration, wiring and conduit work, PLC logic reviews and motor control circuit troubleshooting, with emphasis on safety and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Must be a High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Ability to interpret schematic drawings (to component level) of pneumatic loops, hardware relay logic diagrams, PLC control programs, motor control circuit diagrams, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, installation and integration of process control instrumentation equipment such as transmitters, controllers, integrators, recorders, and related machinery.
• Field fault analysis to determine instrument vs process problems.
• Field calibration of instrumentation using proper test equipment.
• Repair of signal transmission facilities (tubing, wiring) and motor control circuits.
• Installation of new control circuits and modification of existing instrument/electrical systems; design and implement new control logic.
• Develops, prepares and presents recommendations and reports as requested.
