Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, installation and integration of process control instrumentation equipment, including transmitters, controllers and recorders. You will use electrical/instrument tools and calibrate instrumentation to specifications.

The role requires the ability to interpret schematics, perform fault analysis on PLC systems, and repair motor control circuits, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read schematic drawings (component level) for pneumatic and PLC systems.
• Identify circuit symbols with components in electronics and industrial hardware.
• Strong basic algebra for electrical/electronic calculations.
• Install and bend electrical conduit and instrumentation tubing.
• Analytical problem solving and implementing effective solutions.
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, installation and integration of instrumentation equipment.
• Use tools of the trade and maintain knowledge of electrical/instrument tools.
• Repair electrical power, motor and motor control circuits.
• Calibrate instrumentation and conduct field fault analysis.
• Develop reports and present recommendations as requested.
• Collaborate with site management, coworkers, customers and contractors.
