Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Instrument Technician for Austin Industrial Channelview operations. The role focuses on installing, testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial settings near Channelview, TX.

You will read schematics, assemble control panels, install wiring, and perform calibration across pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments while maintaining safety and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
• NCCER and TDLR certifications.
• Valid Driver’s License and TWIC Card.
• Ability to read manuals, wiring and instrumentation schematics.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Build Control Panels from scratch.
• Instrument installation and mounting.
• Tubing and impulse line installation.
• Junction box terminations.
• Basic conduit installation practices.
• Read P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Troubleshoot instrument and control systems.
