Job summary

King County Wastewater Treatment Division is seeking an experienced Industrial Instrument/HVAC Technician for the South Treatment Plant in Renton, WA. The role covers HVAC, instrumentation, electrical systems, and related controls to support wastewater treatment operations.

Qualifications

Requires four-year apprenticeship or two years college-level training or equivalent.
Three years of journey-level experience in industrial instrumentation, HVAC or related field.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC/R systems including water-cooled chillers and compressors.
Install and troubleshoot distributed control systems (DCS/SCADA) and PLCs; apply PID control strategies.
Update drawings and documentation; coordinate with operations, engineers, and suppliers.
