King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) is seeking an Industrial Instrument/HVAC Technician to maintain HVAC/R, building and chiller systems at South Treatment Plant and related facilities. The role involves designing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying computerized control systems, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic components in instrumentation.

This is a career service position, open continuously until filled with first review by Oct 20, 2026.

Qualifikationen

• EPA guidelines followed when handling refrigerants.
• Journey level instrumentation/HVAC experience (3+ years) required.
• Experience with analyzers/sensors and control systems.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and perform field duties.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC/R systems including water-cooled chillers.
• Install and troubleshoot PLCs, DCS/SCADA, and PID control strategies.
• Review drawings, coordinate with operations, engineers, and suppliers.
