Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC in Huntsville, AL, is hiring an Instrument & Controls Technician to manage electrical and control equipment across the plant. The role involves preventive, corrective, and emergency service, calibration, and documentation of malfunctions in DCS/PLC systems.

The candidate will troubleshoot Omron and Allen Bradley PLCs, work with sensors, meters, and burners, and participate in cross-disciplinary activities while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with electrical/electronic and pneumatic systems in an industrial environment.
• Experience with energy-from-waste or power plant environments preferred.
• Familiarity with PLCs and DCS systems required.
• Ability to calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and related sensors.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical and control equipment across the plant.
• Troubleshoot and repair DCS/PLC systems, VFDs, transmitters, meters, and burners.
• Calibrate and test instrumentation; update preventive maintenance work orders.
• Assist in redesigning instrumentation and electrical systems as needed.
• Work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
