Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics Americas, LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Inside Sales professional to drive growth and retention from Savannah, GA. You will act as the key link between customers, account managers, and operations, managing the commercial process from lead to order confirmation, including rapid quotes for spot and non-contracted business.

The role is hybrid with onsite presence 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• 5 years in inside sales or B2B customer-facing role.
• Experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Portuguese strongly preferred.
• Strong negotiation, numeracy, and communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Results-driven, adaptable, and able to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, contact, and cultivate relationships with spot and non-contracted customers; deliver rapid freight and logistics rate quotes.
• Identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities across Wallenius Wilhelmsen products and convert spot opportunities into long-term contracts.
• Relay customer pricing feedback to pricing/strategy teams; collaborate with Customer Success, Pricing, and Operations to improve quote-to-order conversion.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and handle cargo requests safely and compliantly; apply approved rate discounts to win business.

Job description

Join our Industrial Inside Sales team to drive business growth and customer retention. You will act as a key link between customers, account managers, and operations—managing the commercial process from lead generation to order confirmation. You will prospect new customers, expand accounts, and provide fast, accurate quotes for spot and non-contracted business. This is a hybrid roles that requires onsite presence 3 days/week in our Savannah, GA office location.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Sales & Engagement: Proactively identify, contact, and cultivate relationships with spot and non-contract customers. Deliver rapid freight and logistics rate quotes through digital tools and multiple communication channels.
• Account Growth: Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across Wallenius Wilhelmsen products, converting spot opportunities into long-term contracts.
• Collaboration & Market Intel: Relay customer pricing feedback to internal pricing and strategy teams. Partner with Customer Success, Pricing, and Operations to streamline processes and optimize quote-to-order conversion rates.
• CRM & Compliance: Maintain accurate CRM records, handle cargo requests safely and compliantly, and apply approved rate discounts to win business.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
