Job summary

Celgard, LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Instrument & Electrical Technician to join the Maintenance team. The role reports to the I&E Supervisor and involves performing calibrations, troubleshooting power systems, drives, and instrumentation within a manufacturing setting.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm with possible night/weekend work. Travel up to 10% domestically for training or site visits may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or certificate in Electrical Technology highly preferred.
• 3+ years in industry performing instrumentation & electrical work; 5+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical calibrations and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical power systems, motor drives, and control systems.
• Understand and safely use test equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, current meters, megohmmeters, oscilloscopes.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble production equipment; install/verify instrument installations.
• Support new equipment installations with point-to-point verification prior to start-up.
• Update electrical drawings and procedures as needed; write detailed reports.
