Job summary

Westlake is seeking an instrumentation and electrical technician to perform preventive and repair maintenance on facility equipment. You will calibrate process instrumentation and electrical systems to ensure accuracy and reliability while supporting safety practices and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include reading electrical drawings, implementing maintenance schedules, assisting production and engineering, and maintaining equipment records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certificate from an approved Instrument/Electrical school.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial plant maintenance experience; science background preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and apply information from manuals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, repair and integrity checks of process instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Implement preventative and predictive maintenance schedules to maximize uptime.
• Provide technical assistance to production and engineering on instrumentation applications.
• Maintain department records, parts, vendor resources and test equipment.
• Support safety, quality practices and continuously improve knowledge and skills.
• Available to support plant operations outside regular hours and train others.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and promote a safe work environment.
