Job summary

Cornerstone Chemical Company is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical (I/E) Technician in Waggaman, LA to maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation and electrical systems in an industrial facility. You will install, repair, calibrate devices, and perform preventive maintenance while reading drawings and complying with PPE requirements.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, ability to read electrical schematics, and willingness to work overtime and be on-call as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years of related experience in an industrial facility environment.
Able to read piping and instrument drawings, loop drawings, specification sheets, electrical schematics, and logic diagrams.
Able to climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 40 pounds.
Capable of working in full PPE and prepared for overtime/call-out overtime.
Experience with 4-20 mA instrumentation, 3-phase motors and controls, transformers, control panels, and wiring.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Troubleshoot transformers, motors (low and medium voltage, 5kV), lighting, transmitters, valves, alarms, and other process control devices.
Perform calibrations on all types of industrial pressure, level, flow, and temperature devices.
Replace switches, relays, transmitters, sensing devices, motors, valves, and other faulty equipment.
