Job summary

MOVA Metals in Freeport, Texas, seeks an I&E Technician to join the maintenance team. You will troubleshoot and maintain instruments, controls, and equipment essential to plant operations, support system commissioning, and assist engineers with electrical and instrumentation aspects of process design.

Responsibilities include working with operations to resolve I&E issues, developing and maintaining DCS monitoring and controls systems, and overseeing electrical assemblies while controlling

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years industrial I&E or Master Electrician experience.
Ability to read electrical and one-line diagrams.
Experience with DCS programming and controls systems.
Strong work ethic and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and maintain instruments, controls, and equipment.
Perform system commissioning and installation of new or replacement equipment.
Assist engineers with electrical and instrumentation aspects of process design and construction.
Maintain MCC buildings and electrical requirements of the plant.
Oversee proper handling of all materials involved in electrical assemblies.
Monitor and resolve I&E issues with operations and maintenance.
