Job summary

MOVA Metals is seeking an I&E Technician to join our maintenance team. You will troubleshoot and maintain instruments, controls, and equipment essential to plant operations, following a detailed scope of work.

The role requires a licensed I&E Journeyman or Master Electrician with at least five years of industrial experience, ability to read diagrams, and to assist with DCS programming. Strong communication and cost-conscious mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed I&E Journeyman or Master Electrician with 5+ years of industrial I&E experience.
• Ability to read electrical and one-line diagrams.
• Experience with DCS programming and computer-based operational control systems.
• Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain instruments, controls, and equipment needed for plant operations.
• Follow Scope of Work and assist commissioning/installation of new or replacement equipment.
• Assist engineers with electrical and instrumentation aspects of process design and construction, including material selection, documentation, and calibration requirements.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to resolve I&E issues.
• Develop and maintain the DCS monitoring and control systems with engineers.
• Monitor equipment and electrical processes of the plant.
• Oversee proper handling of materials in electrical assemblies.
• Keep costs to a minimum in ordering materials and delivery costs.
• Maintain MCC buildings and electrical requirements of the plant.
• Perform other duties as required.

Position Summary

The I&E Technician will work with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and maintain instruments, controls, and equipment necessary to plant operations.

• Follow a detailed Scope of Work.
• Perform system commissioning and installation of new or replacement equipment.
• Assist engineers with the electrical and instrumentation aspects of process design and construction such as the material selection, documentation, and calibration requirements.
• Work with operations and maintenance teams to resolve I & E issues.
• Work with engineers to develop and maintain the DCS monitoring and controls systems.
• Monitor the equipment and electrical processes of the plant.
• Oversee the proper handling of all materials involved in electrical assemblies.
• Responsible for keeping costs to a minimum in the ordering of materials and delivery costs.
• Maintain the MCC buildings and electrical requirements of the plant.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Licensed I & E Journeyman or Master Electrician.
• Minimum of 5 years Industrial I & E or Master Electrician experience.
• Ability to prepare, read, and understand electrical and one-line diagrams.
• Ability to assist with DCS programming and computer based operational control systems.
• Strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
