Job summary

PTS Advance is seeking a Controls and Instrumentation Technician for a permanent role in Houston, TX. This position maintains district energy plant instrumentation and control systems, focusing on Emerson DeltaV and Allen-Bradley PLCs.

You will calibrate instruments, repair systems, and support a robust energy network. Responsibilities include planning preventive maintenance, reviewing work orders, and generating KPI reports from DeltaV historian.

Qualifications

Must have a 2-year technical degree in electrical, controls or instrumentation engineering or 2-year associates with 5 years of relevant industrial experience.
Basic understanding of programming languages including plain English structured text, sequential function chart, function block diagram and ladder logic.

Responsibilities

Maintain instrumentation and controls for district energy plants producing steam and chilled water.
Program and tune process control loops and DeltaV historian data for KPI reporting.
Work with Emerson DeltaV and Allen-Bradley PLCs and other PLCs.
Calibrate flowmeters, gauges, and controllers; troubleshoot and repair instruments.
Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance and review labor hours and parts.
Reconcile work orders with contractor invoices; compile KPI reports.
