Job summary
Energy Transfer Partners is seeking a Controls Engineer to support day-to-day operation of DCS/PLC systems and participate in maintenance, commissioning, and capital projects across facilities. You will work with process and maintenance teams to implement APC and MPC projects from design through startup, while ensuring safety and plant reliability.
The role requires a BS in Engineering and 3–6 years of experience, with DeltaV DCS/SIS expertise and familiarity with Rockwell PLCs and SAP.
Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering with 3–6 years experience including DCS programming.
- DeltaV DCS/SIS, APC and MPC programming experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support of site DCS and PLC control systems.
- Support maintenance and capital projects, including commissioning.
- Collaborate with process engineering on APC and MPC projects through startup.
- Maintain environment, health and safety commitments.
- Oversee field construction and final commissioning of DCS/PLC equipment.
- Develop backup and recovery plans for major failures.
- Ensure documentation and training of personnel.
