Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an Industrial Hygienist to protect people, property, and the environment in a leading semiconductor manufacturing facility in Boise, ID. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience conducting industrial hygiene, safety, risk assessment, or regulatory compliance activities in an industrial, manufacturing construction, or related environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence multi-functional teams and work effectively with all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze complex problems, and implement projects with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with standard business software and data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Support Industrial Hygiene (IH) and safety programs across construction and manufacturing environments, ensuring effective implementation of company requirements and safety management systems.
• Conduct industrial hygiene assessments, task-based risk assessments, process hazard analyses, HAZOPs, and other evaluations to identify hazards and verify effective controls.
• Review facility, equipment, and system designs to ensure regulatory compliance and integration of Safety by Design standards.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve IH and safety programs, procedures, training, and operational standards that protect employees and assets.
• Perform compliance audits, coordinate regulatory inspections, and monitor regulatory changes to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, or local requirements.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and other unplanned events to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Analyze safety and industrial hygiene performance metrics, communicate findings to site leadership, and support Occupational Health and Safety Management System improvements.
• Use AI-enabled tools, workflows, and data analytics to improve program effectiveness, identify trends, predict potential risks, and drive proactive risk reduction strategies.
