Job summary

Dow Industrial Hygiene Technician in Freeport, Texas will support IH management systems, conduct hands-on IH activities at the plant, and work with IH Specialist and IH Manager to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities include implementing IH programs, performing exposure assessments for chemicals and noise, guiding teams, coordinating audits, and ensuring compliance with EH&S standards to protect workers and the environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• U.S. work authorization is required for this position.
• Preferred: Associate degree or related military training.
• Experience in manufacturing and/or EHS fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implements IH programs at plant level using established processes.
• Acts as IH resource and supports Operating Discipline for IH.
• Performs IH monitoring and reports results to the plant.
• Conducts employee exposure risk assessments for chemicals, noise, ergonomics and radiation.
• Coaches teams on IH tasks and drives area IH goals.
• Coordinates IH audits and investigations; ensures follow‑up actions.
• Coordinates medical surveillance with Health Services as needed.
