Job summary

Corning Inc. in Michigan seeks an experienced HVAC Technician for our solar manufacturing facility. You will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems to support safe, efficient production.

You will monitor environmental conditions, use Building Management Systems, and prepare reports. The role requires on-site work, on-call availability, and OSHA/EPA compliance with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of HVAC training preferred.
• 5+ years of work experience in HVAC, preferably in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required.
• Experience with chiller operation and AHUs; able to read blueprints and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair and maintain HVAC systems including AHUs, RTOs, RTUs, chillers and refrigeration equipment.
• Monitor environmental conditions and implement energy-saving measures to optimize performance.
• Prepare and submit reports on system status and maintenance schedules.
• Use Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance and address issues.
• Respond quickly to HVAC emergencies to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
