Corning Incorporated seeks a Maintenance Technician to support the solar manufacturing maintenance team. You will help ensure operational equipment, system integrity, and facility uptime, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to procedures. It involves a 12-hour rotating shift (2-3-2) and weather-resilient work, with a strong focus on reliability and quality in a high-demand production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in maintenance is a plus.
• Experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or related fields preferred; entry-level considered.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in maintenance activities.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in varying weather.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour shift on a 2-3-2 rotating schedule, alternating day/night every two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment or machinery.
• Follow maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and technical issues.
